This tour offers a special journey through time, tracing Germany in the history of Russia and Russia in German history. It begins with the first encounters and intensive trade relations; bridges the Middle Ages; moves on through the era of close contacts between the ruling houses of the 18th and 19th centuries and deep ruptures in relations; and culminates in successful new beginnings in the 20th century. Themes addressed include art, culture, industry, commerce, science, politics, and society through the centuries.
