The insider tour: The archaeologist takes you through 'The Tell Halaf Adventure'

German language tour

Tell Halaf - the ancient city of Guzana - was once the capital of an Aramaean principality in Upper Mesopotamia with Kapara as its ruler. It was here that three thousand years ago he had a palace erected, adorned with monumental figures of gods, animals and mythological creatures. Who was this prince exactly and how have we come to know his name? Who was he fearful of and who was fearful of him? This is your chance to find out directly from the archaeologist why the winged scorpion men were found guarding over the gateway to the palace.
