Interested and interesting people at the exhibition meet up and find out everything they wanted to know about the spectacular history of the stone gods of Tell Halaf! The tour offers up insightful, exciting facts surrounding the diplomat, 'Orient'scholar and excavator, Max von Oppenheim. An active scholar in the Syrian desert, dedicated to the Kaiser, the German people and the Vaterland, the son of a Jewish banking family saw beyond the anti-Semitism he was faced with and was a committed patriot. In this tour, discussion among participants is welcomed!
Afterwards, over a glass of Sekt in the museum café, participants will have the chance to exchange ideas on the exhibition or have a tête-à-tête, inspired by what they have seen.
