From April 5 to June 15, 2008, the 5th berlin biennial for contemporary art presents "When things cast no shadow", an exhibition that divides its time between day and night. During the day, the works of over fifty international contemporary artists will be on view at three main venues: at KW Institute for Contemporary Art, in the glass hall of Mies van der Rohe's New National Gallery, and in the Skulpturenpark Berlin_Zentrum. An additional venue, the Schinkel Pavillon, will host alternating solo exhibitions.
Over the entire duration of the 5th berlin biennial, a series of events titled "Mes nuits sont plus belles que vos jours" invites the public to nocturnal visits to a wide range of locations throughout the city.
The 5th berlin biennial for contemporary art is organized by KW Institute for Contemporary Art and is funded by the Kulturstiftung des Bundes/German Federal Cultural Foundation.
