New Deputy Director-General of the National Museums in Berlin
Dr. Christina Haak, born 1966, became head of the Buildings Department at the National Museums in 2009 and was responsible for matters concerning museum development planning. From 2003 to the end of 2008 she was the head of the Department for Project Management, Museum Development and Public Relations at the Museumslandschaft Hessen Kassel. Her professional career began at the Museum für Kommunikation in Frankfurt am Main, where she also organised various temporary exhibitions.
The National Museums in Berlin is made up of some 15 collections and four institutes which include the jewel in the crown of Berlin's diverse museum landscape - the Museum Island.
