Education and outreach
Gothic, Renaissance, Baroque, and Rococo! 700 years of painting and the most famous painters in art history are just waiting for you to visit. Embark on a journey of discovery with the audio guide or get to know the works of the old masters in our wide range of events for both young visitors and adults. Look more closely at what is in a painting or find out what went into making it and you will be well on your way to grasping the painting’s visual language. And to aid you in this exploration, there are experts on hand to explain paintings in their artistic and cultural-historical contexts. The paintings also offer a broad spectrum for dialogical considerations – including art and biology, art and theology, and art and literature.
The Kinder-Reich also provides insight into the ‘painter’s workshop’ and the creation of a painting - but this section may be as intriguing to adults as it is to children.
