Offers for Teenager

Different events and activities are offered specifically for teens which help them to experience the museums in a special way – from guided tours and workshops to musical events, discussions, and theatre projects, we even provide you with the opportunity to develop your own museum-related projects.

Some of the museums at the Staatliche Museen zu Berlin offer regular courses specially tailored to young people in cooperation with Jugend im Museum e.V.

Admission to the museum is free of charge for people under the age of 18!

Is it true that Michelangelo tore up everything that he could get hold of by Dürer out of sheer envy? Is it possible to combine traditional Japanese fan dances with J-pop? Where can you learn how to draw from the originals or discuss what art actually is?

Public tours and workshops specially aimed at children and young people convey unusual aspects of the museum – often linked to actions where participants can get creative themselves. Private tours and workshops can also be booked on specific themes at a time and date that suits you.

Several of the museums offer courses for young people organized by Jugend im Museum e.V..

Take part in debates with young experts in our series ‘Junge Nächte’ or develop your own museum projects with ‘Wünsch Dir Was/Make a Wish!’ – there are many offers available for young people that enable them to experience the museums with people of their own age.

Of course, young people can also avail of the offers for adults: discover Sufi singing or modern musical experiments, find out more about modern art, get your Christmas presents at the annual ‘Markt der Kontinente’, take part in tea ceremonies, visit theatre and dance performances or peruse the museums with your friends during the ‘Lange Nacht der Museen’ and enjoy our special presentations.
