In the first episode of the presentation "A-Z. The Marzona Collection" Alexis Zavialoff, distributor and retailer of Berlin bookstore for artist editions, magazines and publications, Motto, will speak with the artist Olaf Nicolai about historical and contemporary artists' publications.

The talk will be conducted in English.

Alexis Zavialoff (b. 1974) is a Berlin based Swiss distributor and retailer of printed matters. Since its inception in 2007, Zavialoff's Motto Distribution has become the driving force in the publication and distribution of limited edition artists' books, hard to find magazines, back issues and rare copies of other international print materials. Motto is an active participant in global art book fairs and has had an enormous impact in the way these publications are accessed and circulated.

Olaf Nicolai (b. 1962) is a Berlin based artist. He has exhibited internationally and received many fellowships and grants. Since the 1990s, Nicolai has published artist's books.
